Reverse Osmosis and Winter
We often get calls at this time of year with customers concerned about their reverse osmosis system running slower than normal. This is quite normal as reverse osmosis systems are rated at 25 degrees and when the water is colder the viscosity of the water is thicker resulting in about a 20% reduction in productivity, but don’t run hot water through a reverse osmosis system as water above 45 degrees will kill the membrane on contact.
If you're having problems with your reverse osmosis system running slow, and having to wait for the tank to fill up, why not purchase a larger tank? Check out our Reverse Osmosis Storage Tank page for more.
